Once upon a time, a dropshipping business could do well no matter where the products came from. At that time, most products came from AliExpress or China, and people were happy to wait weeks or even months for these products.

The reason was that the products were cheap, so customers didn’t mind waiting.

But things are different now. A lot of products in the US now come from China and are sold in big box stores. These items are kept in warehouses in the US, and it takes an average of three days to ship them.

It’s a bad idea to compete with them. Find dropshippers in the US so you can sell high-quality products that can be sent right away to your US customers.

With a tool called Spocket, this is easy to do. This platform can also help you find suppliers in the UK.

According to these numbers, ecommerce is growing quickly. You want to get in on the action!

Spocket: A Brief Introduction

Spocket is a website that was made for dropshipping. Product sourcing is the most common problem that people who drop ship face.

Even though there are a lot of websites where you can find products, they either don’t have a way to filter out products that are in the United States or they don’t have a way for the seller to do the job with just one click.

Spocket takes care of all of these issues. Here are the most important things about this tool:

  • Shopify and WooCommerce can work together.
  • The ability to import lists
  • Searching for products is easy.
  • Keeping track of stock
  • Order management
  • Global pricing rules

I’ll talk about the different features and give you a lesson on how to use each one.

Shopify and WooCommerce can work together.

Spocket is best for people who already have an online store with Shopify or WooCommerce. If you connect it to your store, the two systems will work together, and you’ll be able to keep track of your products and orders in one place.

Sign in to your Spocket account to finish the integration. Click on My Shop in the bottom left corner of the dashboard, and the system will ask if you want to merge it with Shopify or WooCommerce.

Choose one, enter your login information, and you’re done.

What happens after you’ve linked your store? You choose products from Spocket, and they will show up on your Shopify or WooCommerce store. Your customer can now look at these items and buy something.

Searching for products is easy.

This is the best part out of all of them. You can search for products and use a number of filtering systems to find what you’re looking for faster and better.

Use the Search Products link at the top left of the control panel instead of looking at each picture. You can also use the search box to type in the name of the product you want.

Go to the SELECT BY LOCATION filter if you only want to see products that are physically in the United States. When you click that, a drop-down menu will appear where you can choose SHIPS FROM and SHIPS TO.

Here, we’ll type “coffee mug” for the product we’re looking for and then type or click “United States” for “SHIPS FROM” and “SHIPS TO.”

After making these changes, click the purple button with the magnifying glass to search, and then wait for the products to load.

Now, the product list will only show coffee mugs that are in the United States. The little flags on each product thumbnail tell you this.

The next step is to look at each one and decide what you want to sell. In addition to the suggested retail price, each thumbnail has a price that you have to pay. You can figure out how much money you can make if you do the math.

If you want a product, just move your mouse over it and click “ADD TO IMPORT LIST.”

If you want to learn more about it, you can click on the product and see information like the one below. This is better because you can see how much shipping will cost and how long it will take to arrive. You will also see the processing time, which is how long the supplier needs to make the product or get it from his warehouse.

Functions of import lists and Managing Stock

Now that the product is on your list of things to import, you can change its name, details, price, and pictures. To do this, go to your panel’s left side and click on IMPORT LIST.

You will see the coffee mug when you get there. You need to make changes to four things. Or maybe not. It’s up to you to decide.

The following are:

  • Product
  • Description
  • Variants
  • Images

You can change the product’s name, tags, and which collection they belong to. I Love the Smell of Coffee in the Morning Mug is the default name for this product. We can change it to “I Love the Smell of Coffee in the Morning, Polka Dots, ABC Company Mug.”

If you look for a polka dot coffee mug on Google, you might come across this one from our store.

Next, click on the description, and if you want to change it, do so. You can change the text, the size and color of the fonts, and a lot more.

In the section called “Variant,” you can choose which versions of the product you want to sell. You can also change the selling price and the price to compare with here.

A Compare price is a price that a customer will see on your website, but this price is lower. The Compare price is the “before price,” and the Sales Price is the price the customer will actually pay.

If you put $100 in the Compare price and then $20 in the Sale price, the customer will see that it used to be sold for $100 but is now only $20.

If you want, you can add more images or change the ones you already have and add new ones.

If you aren’t done yet and want to keep editing tomorrow, click “Save,” and it will still be in your import list with all the changes you made. If you click “Push to Store,” the product will be put up for sale in your online store.

Order Management

If someone places an order in your Shopify or WooCommerce store, you’ll know about it. All you have to do is go to your Spocket dashboard and click on MY ORDERS.

Here, a list of all pending orders will be shown. Just click on one and then click on View Customer Info. This will show you the address, price, and cost of shipping.

If you’re happy, click the CHECKOUT button and a window will pop up. All you have to do is click on the button that says “Place Order.”

After this, a message will be sent to the supplier. You don’t need to talk to the supplier because everything is done for you. The supplier will wrap the item and then ship it to the shipping address of your customer.

Prices are set globally.

The Global Pricing Rules feature is something that will help your business make money. The problem with dropshipping is that you don’t get to set the prices of your own goods.

So, if you don’t use automation, you have to pick a product, manually copy and paste the product description onto your website, and then set your selling price to $20 even though the product is already selling for $10.

What you don’t know is that the price may go up to $18 in two weeks. You didn’t know this until you were about to place your order.

Now your profit is only $2, and you still have to pay for shipping. To put it simply, you just lost money.

Because of the Global Pricing Rules, this won’t happen to you in Spocket. To get to this section, go to the bottom left and click on SETTINGS, then click on Global Pricing Rules.

Here, you can change how the prices change when the manufacturers and suppliers change them.

Your options are:

  • Percent: The system will add a markup based on the percentage you choose.
  • Multiplier: The system will multiply the cost of the product by the value you give it, and that will be the price you sell it for.
  • Fixed: The system will add a set amount of money to the cost of the product, which will be your selling price.

Once you’ve chosen one, put the number in the Markup box.

If the price of a product in Spocket is $100, here are some examples for the three.

  • Percent: If you type 50%, you get $50 because 50% of $100 is $50. If you do this, you can sell your goods for $150. If the price went from $100 to $80 because the supplier lowered it, 50% of $80 is $40, so your product will automatically sell for $120.
  • Multiplier: If you type 5, the system will sell your product for $500 because $100 times 5 is $500.
  • Fixed: If you type $20, your product will sell for $120 because you chose a fixed $20 markup value.

If the supplier changes his price, all of the prices you put into your ecommerce store will change as well. Spocket will automatically add your markups, whether they are based on a percentage, a multiplier, or a fixed price.

There is a small box with the word “Assign Cents” on it. This is great if you want to charge your customers in cents as part of your pricing strategy. Sounds better than $42, doesn’t it?

Spocket will add $0.99 to the price of all products if you put it in. So, if something costs $150, it won’t sell for $150.99.
